My name is Jason and I live in Suburbian hell, better known as Metro Detroit. I started Kill Taupe at the beginning of 2007 as a place to channel my raging creative energy. I wanted to make things that were bright, colorful, humorous and a little off the wall. My paintings are usually filled with cute dysfunctional creatures, angry vegetables, zombies, robots and strange little rabbits. I wanted my shop to be full of things that are definitely not beige. Nothing is better than when I see someone smile or burst out laughing over one of my items. Spreading happiness and breaking the mundane is what I want Kill Taupe to be all about.
Besides selling on Etsy (http://killtaupe.etsy.com) I participate in as many local shows as I can. I can also be found on MySpace (www.myspace.com/killtaupe) and Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/killtaupe).
For 2008 there are lots of new paintings and magnets on the way and my first solo show which will be held at Cranky Yellow in St. Louis in April.
