Hi, my name is Jinx!
I have always been interested in making my own things; I got my very first sewing machine when I was 8 and the first item I made was a really ugly, flowery boho top. It was was hideous but I wore it proudly! I did have the best dressed couture Barbie dolls that Mattel has ever seen :) By the time I was 13 I was making all of my own clothing and getting requests from my friends and even my older sisters, which I happily accepted. I've never used commercial patterns but I love to take things apart and that's how I learned about the human body in 2-D.
Through all of my 'real' jobs I never gave up sewing, I was a dance teacher for many years and made all of the costumes. I worked for some of the major theme parks in Orlando and make costumes for the stage shows and parades. Eventually I gave up corporate America and started MTcoffinz, I haven't looked back since.
